- Technology Acquisition: We purchased desktop computers — a durable choice for our needs. For many of our scholars, this was their first interaction with such technology, which opened new windows to the world and potential career paths they had never imagined.
- Computer Literacy Program: We hired an instructor who diligently worked to demystify computers for our students, transforming apprehension into confidence. The rhythmic sound of keystrokes became a symbol of awakening dreams and burgeoning aspirations.
- Transportation: We rented a bus to ensure safe, daily transportation for our scholars. This not only eased logistical challenges but also provided a reliable and comfortable commute, allowing our students to focus on their studies and personal growth.
- Food: We provided daily lunches. This initiative ensured that our students remained nourished and energized to participate actively in their new learning environments.
- College Preparatory Funds: Anticipating the needs of our scholars’ future, we reserved $1,500 for SAT and Duolingo test coupons to support their college application process.
